The Briargate real estate market had about 696 sales in 2008 (depending on which data you reference). 17.5% of these sales (122) were distressed/ foreclosure properties. A distressed property is one that is either on it’s way to being foreclosed on or has already gone through the foreclosure process and is bank owned.
