What Documents Are Needed to Apply for a Home Loan in Colorado Springs

When you are ready to apply for a mortgage to buy a home in Colorado Springs, there are certain documents that you should have handy. The lender that you choose to help you find a mortgage may ask for different things, depending on your specific situation: who you are, what your credit is, how you are employed and what kind of loan you are trying to get.
Here is a guideline for the most common items that lenders will ask for when you apply for a mortgage loan in Colorado Springs.
FHA Loans:

2 months bank statements

2 most recent paystubs

Conventional Loans:
Traditionally, a conventional loan is for borrowers (home buyers) with a more established (positive) credit history that enables the automated system to ask for less documentation. Usually, all you will need is:

Please Note:

People who have been divorced will need their separation papers

Child support will need court ordered documentation as well as 3 months of bank statements to prove the receipt of the support.
A really good rule of thumb is that if you disclose it on the loan application then you have to have documentation to prove it.
