Cutting Edge “Employee Benefits” for Colorado Springs Businesses Include Real Estate Services

An innovative new program has surfaced in Colorado Springs that includes legal services, financial services, mortgage and real estate services that employers can offer in addition to the “standard” employee benefits of medical and dental insurance.

Many small businesses in Colorado Springs have a difficult time offering useful benefits to their employees without “breaking the bank” of their own business.  In efforts to help these small business offer value to their employees “founders of a new business coalition in Colorado Springs think they have an idea that will change the concept of employee benefits.”

A recent article in the local Gazette states:

“Employee Benefits Group this month is launching its approach to owners of small and medium businesses. The group consists of 12 professional partners, including a financial planner, an income tax preparer, a lawyer and a business consultant. Collectively, they offer a benefits package with services employers do not typically provide. … In addition to the usual health and life insurance, there are real estate and mortgage services; personal legal services; financial, college and retirement planning; and home and auto insurance. Also, there are free educational seminars, monthly electronic newsletters and merchant coupons for employees. “

According to Chris Baumann, Employee Benefit Group business consultant,

“This is a paradigm shift at how you look at employee benefits. It goes with the trend of employers trying to add value — but not necessarily cost — to employee benefits.”

The best part of what the Employee Benefits Group is offering is that it is completely FREE to the employer, while simultaneously saving the employees thousands of dollars in services that they use on a regular basis. And? These benefits are available to full-time and part-time employees as well as independent contractors.

For example: An employee of a company that offers an Employee Benefit Group package, could save about $5,250 when buying a home for sale in Colorado Springs. According to this article, “The savings are a result of discounted rates or no charges for the appraisal, inspection, home warranty and closing costs; and $550 worth of gift certificates to local businesses.”

Kevin Guttman, the groups director, has a great philosophy regarding this new group:

“Were leading with providing services and building relationships,” he said. “We feel if we reach out to serve small business and their employees and families that ultimately business will come around to us.”

All 12 professional participants are pre-screened to make sure they meet or exceed business and ethical standards, and the group is already a member of the Better Business Bureau, and is endorsed by the SBDC (Small Business Development Center).

The Wagner iTeam is proud to be the Colorado Springs real estate partner of the Employee Benefits Group and looks forward to helping small businesses in Colorado Springs offer more value to their employees.
