The Satellite Hotel is adjacent to the Valley-Hi Municipal Golf Course. Per the City of Colorado Springs website: “Valley Hi Golf Course offers a wonderful scenic view of Pikes Peak and Cheyenne Mountain. It was constructed in 1956 and purchased by the City in 1975. The 18-hole, par 71 course offers some of the most quality manicured greens in the area. The course appears flat, but features a few well-placed bunkers and lakes to add to the fun. This wonderful facility features an outstanding Learn-to-Golf program for beginners. After a round of golf or a lesson, the restaurant is open for cool drinks or a wonderful snack or meal. Tee times can be reserved in person or by telephone up to seven days in advance.”

Satellite Hotel and Condo History
The Satellite Hotel was built in 1969 by Paul Brown. It has become a local landmark with it’s 8-pointed, compass-like 60′s era star shining from the top of the building – near the penthouse condos, not to mention the unique 3-wing, multi-story layout that towers over all other buildings in the area.

The Satellite Hotel has 284 condos that are both owner-occupied and tenant occupied. Each floor has a laundry room and nicely tiled elevator foyers.
Several small businesses can be found on the main level of the Satellite, offering services to the residents. You will find a small grocery store, CPA, attorney, home services, insurance company, salon and barber, massage therapist and a great restaurant.
