Colorado Springs was just listed as one of the BEST mid-sized metropolis’ to live in, according to a recent study and reported on msnbc.com.

These are the top 10 midsize metros in terms of quality of life:

  1. Provo, Utah
  2. Boulder, Colo.
  3. Madison, Wis.
  4. Bridgeport-Stamford, Conn.
  5. Ann Arbor, Mich.
  6. Ogden, Utah
  7. Fort Collins, Colo.
  8. Boise, Idaho
  9. Colorado Springs, Colo.
  10. Des Moines, Iowa

Notice that 3 of the top 10 cities are in Colorado!

Here is what they had to say about Colorado Springs:

“Colorado Springs has a sizable corps of young adults, giving it a strong foundation for the future. Nearly 30 percent of Colorado Springs’ residents are between the ages of 25 and 44, sixth-best in the midrange study group.”

How were the cities selected?

It was a balance of  many things, with the “highest scores [going] to well-rounded places with healthy economies, light traffic, moderate costs of living, impressive housing stocks and strong educational systems.”

I have to agree!

I always say that Colorado Springs rush hour traffic is a relaxing vacation … compared to Denver. Our cost of living is not too shabby, and even the Colorado Springs real estate market is healthier than many other places in the nation.
